Did you know that all members have the chance to put questions to Napo’s leadership at AGM even if they won’t be attending themselves?
Two important sessions – the Vice-Chair (Finance) Report and the Annual Report Accountability Session – are your opportunity to scrutinise the union’s work, celebrate achievements, and raise issues that matter to you.
Vice-Chair (Finance) Report and Accounts
The Vice-Chair (Finance) Report will set out Napo’s financial position. To help officers and officials provide the fullest possible answers, we ask that detailed written questions are sent in advance to events@napo.org.uk. Please include the relevant section, page, or paragraph where applicable.
- Read the Vice-Chair (Finance) ReportÂ
- Deadline for written questions: Friday 10 October 2025
Advance submissions give the Vice-Chair (Finance) and Finance Officer the time to prepare clear and accurate answers.
Annual Report Accountability Session
The Accountability Session gives members the chance to ask questions on the draft Annual Report or any wider issues of Napo business. As with the finance session, members are encouraged to submit detailed questions in advance to events@napo.org.uk.
- Read the Annual Report
- Deadline for written questions: Tuesday 14 October 2025
Members can still raise questions during the session itself, but sending them in advance allows for fuller, researched responses.
A new style Annual Report
This year we’re presenting a new-look Annual Report. It’s clearer, and designed to give members a better picture of the union’s work over the past year.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Progress updates on motions passed at previous AGMs
- Reports on activity within our operational plan
- Updates from committees and networks showcasing their achievements
- External reports, including those from the Justice Unions Parliamentary Group (JUPG) and the Edridge Fund
- Napo’s accounts
It’s not just a report—it’s a record of how your union has been working on your behalf.
Your role in accountability
Whether or not you’re attending AGM in person, you have the right to ask questions, make comments, and ensure Napo remains transparent and accountable. These sessions are not just about scrutiny—they’re also about recognising the incredible work done across the union to support members every day.
Got a question or comment? Send it in. This is how you keep your union accountable, and how we acknowledge the progress and dedication of those working on your behalf.
