Napo members are being called to descend on Cheltenham, Saturday 27 January, to defend the right to strike.

The unions currently most affected by  the government’s vicious anti-strike legislation will be at the start of the march. Napo will be towards the back of the unions’ block set-up, so our assembly point will be at the Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, Spa Road at 12 noon.

The march should take just over an hour and there is access enabled for elderly and disabled marchers who wish to join the route at a closer point.

End point will be at Pittville Park with a rally there. All should finish by 3.30pm. View the full route and other important information:

Please let Annoesjka Valent, National Official for Trade Union Organisation, know (if you have not done so yet) at avalent@napo.org.uk if you’re intending to come along with your branch or on your own, so we can coordinate further in the run up to this important event.

Please join us – An injury to one is an injury to all !

Also, there will be a Trade Union Organisation Network meeting, initially called for 16th January but we had to postpone for a week to 23rd January now. Get in touch with Pippa Wood at pwood@napo.org.uk to join this network and get the link for the Teams’ meeting to discuss this but also to look at ways to kickstart the New Year and renew our recruiting efforts for 2024.
