Don’t Tie Our Hands — Vote Yes to Both

Ministers are watching for division. A narrow mandate gives them room to wriggle out. But a double YES vote — to strike action and action short of strike — keeps them boxed in. Don’t give them an escape route. Vote YES to both and back a strategy with teeth.

We’re in the fight of our lives — for better pay, safer workloads, and the future of the service. But make no mistake: the government is watching. Watching for weakness. Watching for hesitation. Watching for division.

That’s why we’re asking you to vote YES to both strike action and action short of strike. Because we can’t afford to show our hand; and certainly not to limit it.

If we only vote for action short of strike, ministers will breathe a sigh of relief. They’ll think they can wriggle free, rely on you caring too much about your clients to do it properly, and wait us out. A full mandate, however, keeps them guessing and keeps the pressure high.

Think of it like this:
Strike action = the threat they can’t ignore.
Action short of strike = the disruption that hits daily.
Together, they’re a one-two punch.

Don’t limit your power.
Don’t hand them an escape route.
Vote YES to both — and help us plan a comprehensive fightback.
