Important information

GETTING THERE

  • Coach parking is at the O2 – only if you have booked through the TUC
    • Please go to the O2 and ask attendees to get the Jubilee line to Bond St or Baker St (both 10 mins walk) to join the march
    • Returning, get the Jubilee line from Westminster to the O2
  • All tube lines are running normally on Saturday daytime, rail disruptions are on the National Rail site

FORM-UP

  • Form up order is on our site – please note where your union is meeting
  • Please join the march from the rear
  • You can get placards delivered to pens near your form-up section – must be delivered before 10am
  • Inflatables:
    • you need to do a risk assessment and have trained balloon handlers
    • please identify suitable locations away from the form-up and rally to inflate and deflate them

MARCH ROUTE

  • See the march route, public toilets and rest stops here https://tucmarch.org/
  • Please take responsibility for keeping your group moving on the route

WEATHER / FACILITIES

  • It’s going to be hot – please  bring water, hats and sun-cream
  • There are plenty of cafes and shops along the route
  • There is a rest stop at St James’ Church, Piccadilly, just off the march route – see https://tucmarch.org/
  • Nearby public toilets – marked on https://tucmarch.org/

STEWARDING

  • TUC stewards will be in yellow tabards, senior stewards in pink, union stewards in white, TUC chief and deputies in red
  • Approach a steward with any concerns or questions
  • Lost children and vulnerable adults – please raise with your nearest senior steward (pink tabard)

ACCESSIBILITY

RALLY

  • If the march is big, not everyone will be able to get into Parliament Square
  • There will be a big screen on Whitehall
  • The rally will be livestreamed on the TUC’s Facebook page

  1. I’ll be with you all in spirit..
    It’s a long struggle for all which has effected our mental health. So much much so that a colleague & SPO had taken his own life.
    Will this struggle never end..
