The UK is entering a cost of living crisis. Energy prices are escalating at an incredible and unaffordable rate, petrol prices have risen and national insurance contributions have significantly increased as of April.
Britain deserves a pay rise and no one should be forced to choose between eating and heating. The TUC is organising a demonstration in London on 18th June 2022 and Napo are encouraging members, none members, branches and community organisations to get involved.
The message is clear, Enough is enough, we deserve better and we demand better!
March details: 18th June 2022 London.
Meeting point: The march will meet at Portland Place outside BBC Broadcasting House at 12 noon. The nearest tube station in Oxford Circus. Napo will look at the possibility of arranging our own meeting point so that can arrive at the march as a collective. Details will follow.
Route: The march will then walk to Parliament Square ( accessible routes and meeting points are currently being worked up and details will follow). Once at Parliamentary Square the demo will last from 1pm – 3pm.
Travel: Napo will liaise with the TUC and branches to ensure that members can access coaches and affordable travel in order to attend the march.
Register: Please let Napo know if you want to attend the demo. We will then support branches with send delegates and help to arrange transport.
