If you’re interested in becoming active in your branch and help other members going through any work-related issues especially formal procedures at work, you can do this by registering for a course, either via the GFTU or the TUC, in order to get accreditation to be able to undertake this work. Time off for this training is to be allowed. You can find courses here at:

The TUC update their website regularly, keep an eye out if you have just missed a deadline for registration.
Here you will not only find accreditation courses, but also a range of interesting other online seminars. The GFTU will be updating their 2024-2025 education programme in July in run up to the Durham Miners’ Festival.
