As we gear up for the Napo AGM in Newcastle this October, there’s one important deadline that all members need to keep in mind: the deadline for voting on motions is 25th September. This is your opportunity to influence the order in which motions are debated at the AGM, ensuring that the issues that matter most to you take priority.
Why Your Vote Matters
AGM is always jam-packed, and with so many crucial topics to cover, we rely on members to help us prioritise the debate schedule. By voting on the order of motions, you ensure that the motions you feel most passionately about are addressed first. This is particularly important given the range of significant issues on this year’s agenda.
What’s on the Agenda?
This year’s motions cover a wide array of topics that impact our work and our profession, including:
- Pay and Workloads: Addressing the ongoing challenges related to fair compensation and manageable workloads.
- Health, Safety, and Wellbeing: Ensuring that our workplaces are safe and that your wellbeing is a top priority.
- Maintaining Professional Standards: Upholding the standards that define your profession and ensure public trust.
- Wider Social Issues: Engaging with broader societal concerns that affect you and the communities you serve and live in.
How to Vote
Voting is quick and easy, and there are two ways to do it:
- Online: Simply visit www.napo.org.uk/agm to view the motions and cast your vote online.
- Paper Form: If you prefer, you can use a paper form to submit your votes. These forms are also available at www.napo.org.uk/agm.
Whether you choose to vote online or by paper, make sure your vote is in by 25th September. Every vote counts, and your input will shape the direction of our discussions at the AGM.
