Napo’s GS Ian Lawrence looks back over the past 12 months and all the hard work that has gone into maintaining Napo as a strong union for members in probation and family courts. He talks balancing the books, generating media coverage for important issues, and fighting relentlessly for safer workloads and much deserved pay increases for members.
He also looks to the future, buoyed by the amount of first time AGM attendees, work being done internally to modernise the union, and investing in more activists and reps to help sustain the union in the future.
Calling on members to pull together for their union, Ian applauded Napo for “its values, its commitment to your professions, its zero tolerance to racism, discrimination and oppression in all its forms” as well as our joint overriding objective to help bring about the reforms that are so desperately needed to create a justice and family court system that Britain can be proud of.”
